The lens is very fast for its era (production 1959-1962) and the 10 blade aperture produces some nice bokeh. I don't know much about the lens coatings, but if it is coated it is minimal. This allows for significant flare and backlighting effects in some situations and is one of the reasons it has become a bit of a cult lens (for many other camera brand users).
The lens hood for this is a two-piece that unscrews and is stored in its dedicated case - it took me a while to find one of these (they are rarer than the lenses) to complete the outfit.

I can only see one of these available for sale in the UK at present (at £375) which doesn't include the case or hood. So I think this is a fair price for this one...
