My copy of the Auto Takumar 35mm F2.3 comes with original caps (the large Aluminium AOC cap), original brown leather case and original two-part lens hood with case. The lens is in overall very good condition both cosmetically and optically - there are a couple of minor marks on the front element, there will be some minor dust and the aperture setting lever is a bit slow to return to its position but this doesn't appear to affect its operation or image quality. The operation of the aperture itself is fine.

The lens is very fast for its era (production 1959-1962) and the 10 blade aperture produces some nice bokeh. I don't know much about the lens coatings, but if it is coated it is minimal. This allows for significant flare and backlighting effects in some situations and is one of the reasons it has become a bit of a cult lens (for many other camera brand users).

The lens hood for this is a two-piece that unscrews and is stored in its dedicated case - it took me a while to find one of these (they are rarer than the lenses) to complete the outfit.

Here are some images of the Lens and accessories:

And a few taken with the lens:

I can only see one of these available for sale in the UK at present (at £375) which doesn't include the case or hood. So I think this is a fair price for this one...

Price: £299 inc P&P

UK Only, Bank Transfer, PayPal Gift, Cheque or Cash on collection, inspection welcome.

Still drooling over it, but the budget has been destroyed by unexpected repairs and bills.

I'm in no rush - as soon as the spring flowers are out I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more.

Simply beautiful image. Not only due to a great lens, (at a great price), but also the photographer. Nice one, LennyBloke.
Be well, stay safe.
