FS - a rarity: Tokina 80-400 ATXii

Not only is it very difficult to find one of these, it'll be pretty much impossible to find one in this kind of condition. Superb example of the more recent of the two PKA versions of this lens (and this version is reputed to be a stronger performer than the original), my experience when comparing it to the DA55-300 is that (a) it's much better between 300 and 400mm , and (b) it is more consistent across the (APSC) frame than the DA lens - so it performs much better around the borders. It does exhibit more CAs than the DA lens but nothing that can't be easily dealt with in PP. This crop was taken at 400mm:




The lens comes boxed and complete with hood and caps. It also has a fitted tripod collar. Rather more compact than some of the Sigma alternatives, it's a cost effective way of getting some more reach than the consumer XX-300 lenses without spending a fortune. It is not light though, so the price reflects my expectation that postage will not be cheap! Price is £325 incl RMSD. I'd much prefer to sell within the UK if possible, as I think postage abroad will be rather expensive - but I won't rule that out if somebody is really desperate...

Come on - make me a sensible offer I can't refuse! This is a great lens if you want a bit more reach than a XX-300, but want something reasonably compact and not as bulky or expensive as the XX-500 options. It's also in superb condition - did I say that already?
