Just back from a w/e away. I see there is some confusion over what I mean (or what juxtaposition means - even I'm getting confused now
!). Basically I'm looking for shots that contain a number (probably two, though it could be more) of distinct objects placed within the frame. They don't have to be close together (as one definition quoted in the other thread has it) - indeed in a photographic sense juxtaposition of near and distant objects is a frequently used and often very effective device (though I guess even objects that in a photo are far apart are actually close together due to their both being within the frame). Indeed as far as I'm concerned something near juxtaposed with something far might be a good entry for this comp. I guess they don't even have to be contrasting objects - though perhaps these will work best in a visual sense. As David Trout notes, Tim (Thoughton's) entry to the weekly history comp could easily be entered here; as could my entry from last week's comp of the seafood & vendor; or, to take one of David's images, his shot of a train with a man in the background that he posted a while back.
My intention was to choose as open a subject as possible, and I am open to all sorts of interpretations which I think this theme is suited to.
If anyone needs further clarification I'll be happy to give it.

Security and management
The welcoming party at a jeweller's in the centre of Newcastle on Tyne, England. Is the security man scaring off customers while the anxious manager is hoping they'll drop by?
K10+DA*50-135mm lens at 135mm, f5.6.
ISO 400, shutter speed 1/100, 1/3rd stop under exposed.

I am entering this as I fear I may not be home tomorrow before 6 pm even though I have/had hopes of an alternative.
Taken today the 22nd K20D, Pentax 35mm f2, shot at f2.8 and 1/30th as ISO 100.

"Shadows among us" is trying to tell you that even a comon kitchen might have a few skelleton in the closet. Isn't it strange that sometimes we see, or think we saw, shadows that doesn't seem to have an owner?

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
