OK I had a long intro written out here .. then Safari crashed on me ((*^%*^%#@$#) !

So here is the abbreviated version and I'll update the intro tomorrow (04.00 here now). Mistakenly shot at 2MBs but this is recording history not intended as art so please excuse the poor IQ. Food street in the old area of Qi Bao.

That final picture is a really memorable glimpse of the mysterious orient- a fascinating study.

Do you think the B&W conversion worked OK ? It's the first time I've tweaked that particular pre-set.

The monochrome rendering is technically bold but very successful in creating atmosphere. It adds to the mystery and drama of a scene from a part of the world strange and unfamiliar to a western, particularly west-european, audience (vidience?)

Very nice set Kevin! I do like 'Solo Momento'. 2 and 8 have nice DOF control, was this the 30mm 1.4?

Thank you P. Yes, I think you can recognise the 30/1.4 a mile away ! It's also used in a couple more of the series.
