Firmware Update K50

Hello Everyone,

Well I'm still very new to the DLSR world and still getting to grips with my K50.

I have just received an email saying that there is a Firmwear update for the K50, and just wondered if I should install this.

The reason I ask is because I have a few good MP3 players where firmwear upgrades are a constant practice.

However, many report that more bugs can be installed with the new firmwear and so better left alone and stay with the original settings.

So I would just like your take on this before I proceed any further.

Some upgrades to the firmware are significant. For example, the K-3 will need its new upgrade to use it with new lenses using the KAF4 variant of the K mount, such as the new 55-300mm.

Others are less important, but we'll get them cumulatively whenever we do decide to make the decision. Sometimes there are glitches which need a further update, but that is very, very rare.

The K-50 will need the new firmware to be able to use the new KAF4 PLM lenses. I'm pretty sure you won't have a problem with the updated firmware.
