Hi Guys
Having problems updating the firmware on my new K-S2 . I format the sd card in my camera then remove it, put the card into my card reader and copy the update to my sd card. I then put the card into the camera and switch it on, go to firmware update in the menu and there is no option to update it, i have tried several times and no joy. I must be doing something wrong but no idea what.
Any help appreciated
Tim

Step no 4 from here: link

Turn the camera power on while pressing the MENU button. Then just follow on screen instructions; no need to dig into the menu.

Good luck

You are unzipping the file? If the file on the card has a .zip extension you haven't. If it's .bin, you have.

On the computer, click on the .zip file and it will self extract into a new folder, then copy the .bin file to the root of the SD card, then proceed as described in the instructions on the Ricoh site.

Make sure that you only copy the file that ends .bin to the SD card and not the whole download.

Canons go BANG! don't they?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
