Filter system DFA 16-50

Stuart..
I'd say take you camera and lens to a stockist and try them. Might save you from fannying about.
At the beginning there was nothing... which exploded
I've found the Lee filters to be excellent quality and they have no obvious overall colour cast (some "cheaper" makes and even the early Cokin filters had a colour cast) so would recommend them. But they are bulky, not an item that you'd chuck in and end pocket of the bag at the last minute
Lee Filters have a dedicated adaptor for the Pentax/Tamron 15-30 - it is part of their SW150 system, so the filters themselves are larger (150mm) and of course more expensive. I've fiddled about with various filter systems over the years but have now settled on this SW150 system - they don't make filter ring adaptors for every size (it may just be 72mm and above) so it's not totally flexible but it covers the lenses I use most.

Yes I totally agree with these suggestion's. I bought a Kase K150P holder in a sale some time ago. With is brilliant. Taking a 150mm Circular magnetic filter. But as yet have never purchased any of the filters. My "Bottle went" at over £200 each. And I dont really use them all that often to justify such a professional system at that kind of cost. So I end up making sacrafices by using the DFA 24-70 which can take an 82mm filter as you all know. But if stacking them you need to use 95mm or they will vignette. So after looking around at 150mm systems I discovered this is the kinda prices the better companies were charging. Landscape photographers are obviously more affluant than me... So this was just a general posting. to see how others managed this lens. So thanks all for the great comments, plus alternative ideas.

Stuart..
For example WEX currently have 3 ND Grads at £24, £23 and £7 and a Big Stopper for £75. MPB have various ND grads from £6 to £14. SRS have a few SW150 items at reasonable prices. I got my 15-30 adaptor for under £40 from ebay and my filter ring adaptors were mainly from MPB at between £15 and £30 each. I know this mounts up and isn't cheap compared to some 100mm systems - but I'm hoping they'll be with me for many years
After I'd bought my ND Grad set I did see an Ebay seller offering them for £50 for a full set
Something else that might be worth thinking about is that the Lee system is aimed at Wide lenses (SW = Super-Wide I think) - so the Lee 82mm adaptor on your 24-70 will provide enough space for you to stack filters without vignetting (you'd need to confirm that - my memory could be playing tricks on me)
