That green of the canal is wonderful. The butterfly and the damselfly are exemplary too.
Adding to your comments, there seem to be far fewer peacocks, red admirals and speckled woods this year. Skippers are down a bit too. There are dozens of whites and gatekeepers and, judging from the various images being posted here and there, the common blue is a lot more common!
I think your damselfly is a male --the beautiful female is unquestionably brown in colour.

Red Admiral (not seen many this years so far)
the "Beautiful Damselfly" ( Either Female or immature not sure)
