Evening/Night shoot:- Steam on the Mid Hants Railway Fridy 17th March

A little short notice, but I would like to say that I am co-running a photo charter at Ropley on the Mid Hants Railway and we still have a few places left . We are using "Black Five" 45378 hauling a breakdown crane. As well as some afternoon run pasts, we will feature a night shoot including the chance to photograph moving steam after dark using both the powerful yard lights at Ropley and also some extra lighting. Cost for the afternoon and evening is £60 - but you must pre-book as places are limited
for health and safety reasons and to ensure everyone gets the chances for some good pictures

How many photographers will likely be attending please, potentially I'm up for it, but have done one of these before where there were over 60 other photographers and trying to get a clear shot was almost impossible.

Sorry I probably won't be able to make it, but just wanted to say I love the photos.

@Chris: we are limited to 30, 60 is way too many!!! We will also likely split into two groups and rotate people around, although Ropley has a fair bit of space. I have been on one or two shoots were there are too many people, particularly when 90% are using tripods so we have avoided that at all costs. For the afternoon shots, many of us will have short steps or boxes to stand on to give a two height gallery: Ropley yard is spacious enough that we won't need that this shouldn't be necessary, and we are encouraging people to use monopods to give a bit more freedom and space, though bring a tripod too! Very nice Chris, especially that last one. I like the "wrong side" shots from that location. Anyway, glas you enjoyed it, good to see a few Pentaxians yesterday.
