Hi

I've just bought an Espio 60s from eBay.
Came in box, with instruction manual but nothing about troubleshooting/errors

It was advertised as excellent working condition.

It loaded film great, took 2 pictures then suddenly started flashing E2.
I have tried googling this to no avail, tried removing batteries etc.

I noticed it does work as normal when I remove the batteries for a few minutes then replace them.
I can take photos then as soon as I press power off the E2 comes back and the camera disables.

Please help,
This is the third camera I have bought that's broken.
I just want to take pictures!!!

Thanks
Kim C

Get a refund from eBay. The error codes are only in the repair manuals. I believe E2 is a shutter related fault but it is not worth repairing.

If you need a good working camera like that, try getting one from a forum member or a known source rather than one someone has found in a drawer somewhere or a charity shop and put it on eBay. If you do need one, send me a PM and I can probably send you a good one.

I too think it's a shutter related fault code. If so, I'm afraid it's unlikely you'll be able to fix it yourself and the camera won't be worth sending off for repair.

You may be better off looking at Pentax film SLR cameras, as they were designed for a different type of photographer than the Espio was aimed at and were built accordingly. The Espio was really a cheap and cheerful point and shoot camera.

Kim, thankyou for getting back to me. I have tried to message you but as I haven’t been on the site for more than 30 days it won’t allow me to!
