I was sooo tempted to buy this but having a pair of Z-1P's I can't justify buying it but dang it's so good looking I'm more than half tempted! Placed it here so others can buy it and thus stop me from getting it and saving my marriage

If it came with the FA24-90/3.5-4.5 I would've said get it. Just for the experience and then sell the camera on if you have to make the choice.

I did have that combination, plus the Z-1 and Z-1p. I now only have the Z-1p and would like another.

The MZ-S is on another plane, it's no upgrade on the Z-1p as they are very different, but it is a dream to use. Even the K-1 maintains elements of both cameras. The main beauty is how to change the setting with so few touches.
Z-1p, K-1, P50
F50 1.7. SMC-FAs 24, 35, 50 1.4, 85, 135. HD-FA15-30, DFA24-70, D-FA*70-200. The SMC-FA Limited Trinity.
Metz 45 CL-4, AF500FTZ. AF540FGZ.
Some Mamiya and some Nikon

The MZ-S just seems like a totally different (in a good way) experience in use, the design pinnacle of Pentax film SLR?

Just to think - the first Pentax Digital Body was so very nearly an adaptation of this camera (the MZ-D) - if the Full-Frame sensor had been reliable then Pentax's place in the DSLR world would probably have been far more prominent. As it turned out, the decision not to launch the MZ-D may have actually prevented Pentax from collapse (Contax released their 'N' Digital body using the same sensor - and withdrew it within a year)
