Great day out.....i love the Big Meeting.
The Crookhall banner will be in attendace again, and on its return paraded through the village, before the brass band play for an hour or so. Been going for years, but im off up to Brighouse Bay, near Kirkcudbright in Scotland on Saturday.

I remember the Crookhall Brass Band and banner, Crookhall was the last colliery in the steel town of Consett where I grew up and I had a close colleague and friend who was closely associated with this prize winning band. I'll be inside Durham Cathedral with DOIK on Saturday photographing the blessing of the banners by the senior clergy.
