Does SRS honour warranties on items with suicidal tendencies?

My K-3 has tried three times to get away from me... once in the US about 18 months ago, managed to find its way onto a tiled floor, the mode dial is now resembling something made by Fischer-Price or Sony - still works mind.

Second time was last weekend - would not stay on the flat surface - no harm done

this lunchtime - fell onto tarmac and the pop flash cover is now looking rather sorry for itself.

The K-5 doesn't do it, the Nikons don't nor does the Mamiya.

I seem to be having tremendous bad luck with the K-3, or is it something for Mulder and Scully?

It's trying to force you to exchange it for a K1...Ricoh's 'filthy', new sales strategy.... On a more serious note, that is some bad luck; sorry to hear that.

SRS probably will, but Ricoh Pentax deem worn off paint in the corners as 'poor condition' and refuse to replace or repair for free!
