Surprised no one's mentioned this already: When's the full frame (35x24) DSLR coming. Many have got impatient with the wait! Pentax designed one of the first of these but are the last to have one for sale. Surely not long?

Have you read the original post?

This is why nobody has mentioned it.

Please do not ask about future releases as this is something that Pentax will not be able to discuss.

A Pentax FF is not something new - as mentioned it was detailed and pictured donkey's years ago. However everything mentioned so far is a request for future releases so what's the point of this thread then?

Edit: That was 14 years ago!

Pentax are giving you the opportunity to ask their team of experts questions so if you want advice on a particular piece of kit, want to learn more about a certain type of technology or have any other question you think Pentax can help with, please post them here.

Most of the questions so far are about updates to current kit.

If I'm allowed a second question, "Why was control of an off camera Pentax P-TTL compatible flash omitted from the Pentax MX-1, and can it be implemented in a firmware update (please)".

Is this not a request for a future release? Somewhat hypocritical pointing the finger at others yet do it yourself.

Sony A6000 plus a bunch of lenses
Sony A7ii plus loads of glass
Fuji X20

Dare I ask about af and tracking abilities - so many people speak of af speed etc yet figures in some reviews suggest that the af is as least as fast as other yet tracking 'may' not be

Could we have some figures with proper comparisons, ie on quick focussing lenses and if possible any tips on how to get the best out of the af on each model etc other that what is in the manual

Tips on using each model for tracking etc may be the most useful and help out
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

I'm just asking why off-camera flash control was omitted from the MX-1 and if it's possible for a firmware update, not a new model which the original post requested we didn't ask questions about.

It seems very clear to most people.

Can we all just please place our questions and leave it at that. There's no need to turn the thread into an argument.

hi all, another question about a lense, A week ago I bought a Pentax lense froma secondhand shop, as you do. and I thougt it was a bargan as it looked realy good, But when I looked it up It had the worst review I had ever seen on a lense. I would like your views on this lense if you can. ( A SMC pentax FA 1:3.5-4.7 28-80mm, power zoom )

You want to ask a group of Pentax experts what they think of a used lens that was probably made before they were born and was purchased in a junk shop?

Amazing

Sorry John but .....

Yes Mike, but we should make allowances for a new user not knowing the layout of the forums. You and I were new once.

tonyb10, if you repeat your questions under the Lenses for Pentax Cameras section then you'll get replies pretty much straight way.

Hope that helps.

Why do Pentax charge such ludicrous prices for rechargeable lithium batteries?

Cheers.
