I went Friday and Saturday. The N@k#ns came on Friday as I wanted to capture speeding stuff and the K-3 and K-1 came yesterday so that I could get all the other stuff going on around the circuit. First outing for the K-1, I really enjoyed using it (attached to my FA*28-70) so it's off to Malvern tomorrow with the 15-30....K-3 refuses to die, really I might get better photos if I had the shake reduction turned on....
I did come across other Pentaxians amongs the Canikon hordes - one guy with I think a K5ii and the 18-135 exchanged glances and a nod, anyone on here?
If you've not gone I would thoroughly recommend it. Long way for those north of the M4, bad enough if you're within the M25.

Curious as to why you consider the Nikon better for speedy cars?

the reason is pentax have a bad rep on high speed its more hit and miss but they are working on it
its more than 1in10 that you get a hit others say its the operator

I went once to the Goodwood Revival. Fantastic day out if you love cars or photography. If you love both you wont want to leave.
On my visit I realised the day was going to be a bit special before we had even made our way on foot out of the car park. Apart from the rows and rows of E-types parked up, we had to stop and let three Lamborghini Miura's past in convoy. This was just the car park !!!

I'd be very worried if I couldn't get race cars at speed on my K3. Last time I shot rally cars was on my old Minolta 7D, which was only 5.5fps from memory, had no issues there, or with the JPS F1 cars on the Goodwood Hill climb. The K3 is a much faster and better camera. Interesting.

Hit rate with D500 is phenomenal, clicks into focus instantly, Then there is the buffer..
D7100 was better, but with a buffer of 5 shots, it went to a new home....D7*00 is no match for K-3 in most other respects.
Actually the K-3 didn't do too badly on Saturday...

I was lucky enough to head down to Goodwood for the revival on Saturday...although the pentax K3 stayed at home - as an experiment I have just purchased a secondhand fuji X-E1 to use with all my SMC-K / SMC-M lenses and also my collection of m42 mount lenses.
the idea is to have something a bit smaller to take and and about and encourage myself to carry a camera more often. i was worried how the little fuji would cope, but apart from missing the speed/autofocus of my normal K3 & 70-200 f2.8 for the moving stuff, around the paddock the X-E1 delivered the goods...
here is a sample of the day and a link to the Flickr album - these were all taken with either a Cosinon 55mm f1.4 or SMC-K 28mm f3.5. C&C welcome..
