Dead K5 ... Help.

Surely if the K5 is having problems, as with anything, and you can't use it as it was intended then it is 'not fit for purpose'? Amazon, or anyone else for that matter, would have to attempt to fix the issue/s and you'd have to allow them the chance but if you've lost confidence in the product I feel you have a case for standing your ground and demanding your money back.

As Lucky Lee said .. if the camera is not working at all then it's not fit for purpose. I'd threaten Amazon with legal action if they fail to replace it. BTW I had this problem with my K5 (after 7 months) and it was repaired within a week (the motherboard was the culprit).

I wouldn't swap my K5 for any other camera though (well maybe a D700 if it's going to be a straight swap)

There's no question of Amazon not refunding him in full, they just won't replace the item with the same model. I think the vendor is entitled to offer a refund rather than replacement?

The K5 QC issues must be causing sellers considerable inconvenience, as well as buyers. Every time they replace the unit for a buyer they have the admin and postage costs to cover.
