Went with a Camera Club /Flickr Mate to The Old County Ground, BRENTWOOD Essex ( England) and we took CRICKET !! Brentwood V Chelmsford so tow local teams. I have not done 'Cricket' since I retired from Press Photography years ago so had many more Birthdays since then but for an 85 Year Old Snapper hope my reactions were still good ! Nobody got 'Bowled Out with Bails Flying while we were there !
BRENTWOOD were BATTING and CHELMSFORD were BOWLING

been a member of Pentax Club since the Ron Spillman era! Got COMPUTERISED at last - DIGITISED? Taken the PLUNGE - BUT FILM STILL RULES !!!

Very nice. The first is the clear winner for me.

For me, three is the best. I like the composition with all the main players featured, has an intensity and a bit of blur (ball) conveying action.
4 then 1 then 2.

Not struck on 2 as I would have put the batsman as the main subject but he is OOF and the gent on the bench is too much of a distraction.

Good to see you again Peter. The set illustrates the action and the first is my favourite.

Getting older and grumpier. Taking longer to decide which lens to use today.
