contemplating 6x7 on K10

I am hovering on a decision. However, I recall reading one of the many forums regarding using 6x7 on 35mm that the effective range of the lens is halved. Now, I could have read it wrong. Does a 300mm on 35mm become only 150mm?

I don't want to plunge and discover it is not what I expected. Can anyone help me with this, please.

regards thoramay.

Focal length always stays the same so a 300mm 6x7 lens will preform like a 300mm 35mm lens on your 35mm film camera.

I think that's all you wanted to know.

This a bit extra:
The effective focal length you mentioned is I believe the equivalent focal length.
It's the same the effect that a lens feels longer on a camera with a smaller sensor or film.

Do you use different formats, if so then it might be handy to know that if not just forget it.
