Nothing unusual there so far , then.
But, we have no conifers in the garden. or anywhere near!
I'm supposing it had been picked up by some itinerant creature & then dropped. for some reason....
In the meantime, it's dried out a bit, the scales are opening & some of the seeds have fallen out.
It seemed rude not to take a couple of photographs......

0.8 & 2 Sec. @ f20. ISO100. 2 sec. delay.
Manual focus & exposure.
