Hi Stan, you should not attach a V6 to the RF60 flash, the flash uses it's inbult transceiver.

I must be doing something wrong somewhere Nigel. It will probably but some "newby" mistake in the settings. As I said I'm not too familiar with it and went onto the cactus page to check for updates but came away more confused than ever. Can't be too much the matter as it powers up and flashes on test. Flash firmware is A03 and the V6 is 2.1.001. With my 360fgz I have a pair of Photix triggers (marked Canon) but work ok. As a last resort I have a couple of sync cales so for home use I'll manage. Thanks again for your help. It is appreciated.
Regards
Stan

Hi Stan, have you removed the V6 from the RF60? You only need one V6 as transmitter on the camera. A trigger on the hotshoe of the RF60 will interfere with correct triggering from the transmitter.

I will check the Cactus site now regarding firmware but I believe the A03 version is not correct. I'll come back soon with the correct versions to have installed.

OK, I've looked at the Firmware Release notes :

RF60 . You need Firmware Version 2.05

V6 .. You need Firmware Version 2.1.001

As you said above Stan, you already have the correct version in the trigger. Its just the RF60 flash that is wrong.

The Release Notes do not explain the split between the two firmware types, nor do they explain the lack of cross compatibility between the two types (XTTL & Multi-Brand), so confusion is almost inevitable without some advice from users who post on the forums.
