Looking forward to a visit to Durham Photographic Society on Thursday from Alan Wennington (Blythman) - the Birdman of Blyth.
Alan is giving a talk to the North East's biggest camera club on his favourite themes: 'Wildlife and a bit of everything else.'
Alan will go down well at Durham where we have a wide range of talents among our 100+ members, many of them keen wildlife photographers.
Any member of PUF living within striking distance of Durham is welcome to come along - and check us out to see if they would like to join DPS.
Meetings are on Thursdays at 7.30pm in the St Oswald's Church Institute, Church Street, Durham, DH1 3DQ.
Check out our club website: http://www.durhamps.co.uk/

I had a look at the Durham PS website - there's some very good images on there. It's always interesting to see the range of types of images that are produced by the majority of clubs.

Just back from Durham camera club where Alan presented a superb array of images with commentary to match. The Durham club looks like a really friendly club with a lot of active members. A great night and well worth the drive up there.

Many thanks to David for bringing the event to our attention and another round of applause for Alan.

Best regards

I'm going to thank D01K for suggesting Alan as a speaker at the club, inspired I'd say.

Yes, thanks to Alan W from me too, for a very interesting evening. It flew by. And also to David Trout for the invite. And nice to talk to Barrie too. Good to meet people in the real world.

Thanks guys. Really good to catch up, and meet some new Pentax faces too. It did add a little bit of pressure so I'm pleased that you all enjoyed it. I had warned the missus that I may come home with some bruised soft fruit.

I'd be grateful if you'd pass on my thanks to your club for giving me such a warm welcome. Lovely atmosphere.

Gary, we've been going to meet for ages. Nice to finally meet you and your good lady. Please pass on my best wishes to her.
