Cheers. Good shooting. I never use TAV, but you got some good shutter speeds there for a relatively low ISO. 800 is as high as I like to shoot.
....& yes, I've missed a few shots through slow af.
But if I can manage to focus a macro lens manually, it's only the same but a bit faster, isn't it?
The bonus is , as I found out yesterday, is that in manual focus, switched on the camera body, a much faster firing rate is achieved in continuous shooting...
so, any tardiness in focus can be compensated by a greater burst rate, in that one may go through the focus-point, then back through it again, but (in simple terms), one will have two good shots.
This wasn't thought through before the session but examining the results led me to the conclusion above.
This could, perhaps, be further refined by the use of C-I-F as well.....?
Looking forward to the next decent light day already!
Any ( non-miraculous/ impossible) thoughts, anyone?

TAV mode 1/2000th. F8, manual focus, continuous shooting (hi)
