I think that bicycles, like empty benches, make for intriguing images. A bit mysterious and even melancholy.

Good idea for a series. Interesting how the gear change has shifted over time. On the dynamo we used to put a rubber ring from a screw top pop/beer on the rotor to save wear to the tyre wall.

Nice set. I especially like the sepia toned ones which suit the subject nicely. K.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Good idea for the set. Never thought of it when I was there. Mind you I don't think I saw that many bikes

like this set Andrew the subject matter definitely has an appeal and the place certainly looks worth a visit. just to say if you feel the same about benches/seats there is an empty seats group on flickr with some interesting pictures

A great set, very imaginative. The only one that doesn't quite work for me is the low contrast colour one, all the others tick the boxes.

It's supposed to look like an old colour print, David, but maybe the subject doesn't suit the technique. There's nothing else to suggest a period feel.
Best wishes,

Andrew
