Best T/C for Sigma 100-300mm f4?

As said, if all goes well I have a Sigma EX 100-300mm f4 on its way!

What's the best tele converter to give me more reach without interfering with the sharpness, A/F etc?

Thanks.

If you're using it on the K-1 not a lot of choice. On a crop body the only on to go for, IMHO, the Pentax 1.4x

I've tried a Kenko Teleplus Pz-AF 1.5x SHQ, it works on full frame. But not a patch on the Pentax 1.4x for preserving IQ

Have you thought about using the K-1 in crop mode or just cropping?

Cool, so next on the shopping list will be the Pentax T/C but it'll have to wait till funds allow as I've spent sooo much this year already on new gear

I'll have to crop for now. Not wanting to use in crop mode if I can help it as I want the pixels so I can print large

I'm not up on prices of the 100-300, but if you have to add in a converter how does that compare to a 150- 450?

It'll be a lot cheaper but of course via a T/C and no WR

Not tried the Pentax HD converter on my 100-300 yet, but, if you can find one, the original Sigma EX 1.4x works pretty well on it. OTOH, don't get the Ex 2.0x version unless you can put up with far more "iffy" AF (which was why I sold my copy of that)!
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)
