B&W in Live View

Is it possible to have the screen display show in B&W when using Live View? I have a K-5iis and it's not obvious (to me) how to do this. I'm told that it's easy with most cannikons and is something that I would find useful.

If you set to JPEG capture and Monochrome then the screen will show black and white, but the capture will also be black and white.

The screen is adjustable, maybe you could explore adjusting its saturation as far as it will go. Not something I've ever felt the need for, unless shooting in black and white of course.

Many thanks, just what i was looking for. I wanted it for when I am taking landscapes that i intend to process as B&W and I'd find it helpful to be able to see a 'rough' B&W image in live view whilst checking composition, filters , etc.

Use raw+ jpeg, then you can change your line-up the raw will be colour and you may wish to process it to mono as there will be more to play with as it were

Thanks, that's what I'll do. I thought that there must be an easy way to do it, but I just couldn't find. Yet another example where this forum is so useful.
