If you have clear skies (which I don't ) and you live in the northern half of England or in Scotland then you have an excellent chance of seeing aurora tonight.

Thanks for the heads up Gwyn, I missed the alert from Lancaster Uni.

I headed out on the chance that the clouds would clear enough to catch a glimpse, this was the best I got between 21:00 and 23:45.

.

On a side note, I tried out Astrotracer (was not switched on for this one though) and noticed something that I've not seen talked about, when in Astrotracer with LV pressing the green button changes the "BULB" text in the lower left corner of the screen to a timer that can be set in 10sec intervals up to 5 minutes with the front or rear wheel (depending on your setup), it also displays a countdown on the top LCD while the rear screen on blacked out.
Cheers
Brian.
LBA is good for you, a Lens a day helps you work, rest and play.

Great picture Brian I really like it. We are too far south unfortunately but glad to see the k1 doing a good job in your hands

Great picture Brian! The aurora have been really putting on a show over the last few nights. Even tonight it should be visible in Scotland.
There was a good photo on Twitter today from a 'tog in Norfolk!
Skies are too cloudy here to stand any chance, sadly.
