Asturias in the fog with K 28mm f/2 "Hollywood"

28mm is usually not a focal length I use as a walk-around, especially on full-frame, but the speed of this lens and sharpness wide open mean I can get shallow depth of field when wanted and it seemed like a suitable length for a walk in the early morning fog in Asturias, northern Spain. These are from a few weeks back.

Nice. 28mm looks flexible. How have you found it generally?

Very moody set and interesting compositions! My immediate favourites are "Stopped at the Fence" and "Web II". I would very much like to try the 28/2 Hollywood one day, it seems to have quite unique rendering.

The 28mm is very nice indeed - excellent image quality and sharp in the centre even wide open. It's big and heavy though, which makes many setups front-heavy. I also have both versions of the Vivitar 28/2 (also both nice lenses) and it's much sharper at or near maximum aperture, which is to be expected given the price difference.

Lovely atmospheric set - the true quality is revealed when you look at these at full size, the detail (considering the conditions) is impressive, particularly for a 50 year old lens
