From the garden yesterday afternoon with the very recently arrived (from LennyBloke) F 135mm f2.8. Well, you must try out a new toy as soon as you can, mustn't you? Mainly looking at what it can do at wider apertures. A conventional flower shot, then a couple of busy pictures with lots of out of focus areas, then a couple of views of courgette leaves. All hand held in bright light. I'm liking this lens already.

Strange thing, though - I sometimes found myself taking a shot then closing in to capture some small detail before remembering that the F 135 doesn't do macro. It's presumably because the field of view is so close to that of my Irix 150mm macro and both are f2.8 lenses. Never done it with any other lens.

Thoughts, comments etc. welcome as always.

1. f5.6

2. f2.8

3. f2.8 - only 2 in-focus edges in this one (deliberate)

4. f4

5. f4

I'm slightly biased - but the first one for me too if I have to choose

But then again, the last one is my sort of shot as well

Thanks folks. The first flower is actually 2 interlocked flower heads. It does make for a better photo than a single head.
