Great photo Gary. Glad you got to meet up all be it by accident with Blythman.
We passed that way last week, and though we were not that close to Appleby every verge was filled with caravans and horses and carts and sulkies and every road with coppers patrolling them. I think they thought we were part of it in our camper - we got some black looks from the boys in blue!

A lot of police there today Gwyn. No bother though and a very very well organised event.

Definitely Alan. Hope you had a good shoot and that the weather was not too harsh.

I kept threatening to go over recent years having seen some great images from Blythman. So finally managed to find a parking spot for a motorcycle and set off towards the crowds. Gary! Gary! I heard a voice calling. It was Mr Wennington himself. Hadn't seen Alan since Whitby last year. So we both shot the sh*t for quite a while before we went our ways and mingled.
It was worth the ride over and I'll do it next year.
I decided to shoot characters rather than nags, with the odd exception.
Best regards
