AP Mag - Voting for their 2021Retailer & Camera Awards :(

I occasionally get info emails from AP and yesterday got one about the above - so I had a look, and found that
- The list of retailers was long , and included IJT (they sell printer inks, end-of-line computing kit and the occasional rubbish low-end P&S/video cam) and Jessops (!!!!) but NOT SRS - so I had to nominate them by ticking the "Other" category and mentioning them there!
- No Pentax in the list of cams (not totally surprising since they did'nt release any new ones in 2020) .

I keep meaning to cancel my AP subscription, and it's now becoming more likely that I will
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

The attention paid to cameras in AP may reflect the commercial importance of a brand. It is regrettable that John Lewis no longer stock Pentax. I subscribe to 'Which?' and I notice that every time a camera review is published Pentax cameras are always rated very low, even when the review is restricted to dslr cameras. I contacted Which? about this many months ago and got a reply that did not impress me about their knowledge of camera technology.

Best cheap DSLRs .... LINK

K-1 (II) is on there at the end, gets a decent write up IMO and they don't even mention the crappy AF tracking or the rubbish buffer. Great landscape camera though

Thanks for this, it is really appreciated. The fact we are not on the list is possibly due to the fact that we have haven't advertised with them for 8 years....

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Keep them coming - and thus point out the error of their ways to AP!
