Any super telezooms planning?

Posted 15/05/2009 - 17:00 Link
Hi, I'm a rather new member to PU. After switching from canon eos 350d to Pentax K20d, I'm now enjoying photography more than any time. I want to ask if anybody knows Pentax is going to introduce a supertelezoom lens like sigma 150-500 or not?
Nice to have you as friends,

There is a "Super Telephoto" in the offing on the lens map but if recent experience is anything to go by, I wouldn't hold your breath!

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

If you're lucky of findeing one and have the money to buy it there is a FA*250-600 f/5.6
Maybe a redsign of this lens is the upcoming pentax superzoom, would be a nice lens nex to the DA*60-250, all we can do is hope.

I'll bet it wouldn't be a nice price though. Long Pentax telephotos tend to be top class professional optics and there's a price tag to those.
Best regards, John
