Both the KS1 and the pixel shift were clearly detailed by B&H over two months before they hit the shelves.

Dude we get it, watch the B&H site right?

We're quite happily waiting as if it's a blockbuster of a full frame camera we might have to find a large amount of cash for it. So no rush! Our K-5 bodies are still giving very good service, so there's no imperative to upgrade until one fails.

It's actually a good place to be. The cameras get good solid use and there's none of that "it's new, treat it with kid gloves" feeling. If it's raining, it gets wet, no fears there.

I don't routinely look at B&H, they kept telling me things were discontinued that were not. SRS is a more reliable site for what is available in the UK.

Having said that, lots of interesting older items still crop up as new in various places, but they come and go so we need to keep watching. Even places like Asda can surprise us at times.

is it a 70-200 or an 80-200 that is delayed ::

I'm confused, in general, not just about this

Anyone feeling the need to off load their apsc limited lenses for a tenner each given the impending release of the ff body please give me a shout

I just hope that when the ff arrives we can see the plus points not just any possible down sides
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Here is a link that shows the specific release date of the Pentax FA 80-200aw

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1117718-REG/pentax_21330_hd_pentax_d_fa.ht...

It shows that Pentax dropped the ball in claiming that it was going to be released soon (coming soon actually), as Pentax had originally planned to release it at about the time the FA 150-400 was released. As the link eventually show on the page, pushed back until February of next year. One can sign up for notices on any product that is posted throughout the entire B&H site.

Further onto the B&H site, it shows other camera bodies that are scheduled for release two full months (plus) from now, nothing from Pentax though - to be released in the near future. B&H in the past has shown Pentax camera bodies more than a few weeks before release.

It is of course a 70-200mm, and no doubt it will be fantastic when it arrives. I don't see the need for the negativity, especially as so much has happened and continues to happen in the world of Pentax.
