Ants

My neighbor found an ants nest in his garden, so he gave me a shout, Ants are hard to shoot, or at least i found it difficult, might have been a combination of factors that made it difficult, anyway here are 2 shots.

+1 for the second one.

Never tried ants myself, they move too quickly. Presumably it's a bit easier when they are moving eggs because they're moving more slowly?

Both superb, the second may appear to be the better shot but the first one is probably a far more difficult shot to pull off - I like the focus on the eye and the background colours

Cheers guys, they are quick, with or without the eggs, it didnt seem to slow them at all.

I was lucky with the first one, managed to nail the focus on the eye it was the only one that stopped for a minute.
I know what i like, If not always why.

The detail is wonderful on the 2nd one.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
