XT2 is not a cheap beast either.... hopefully insurance will cover replacement and a nice new XH-1. Feel for you.

Probably, I've been in touch with all of the Cab Companies so will see if it gets found, more gutted about losing the photo's than the camera really

Luckily it was A: Used and B: Discounted so haven't lost too much, but as it was bought used my insurance won't cover it, still lesson learned and its the reason I didn't take anything dearer with me!

Why won't your insurance cover it - not had any trouble with either specialist or household insurers in getting cover for used equipment, but in this case I think that would still need:
- Purchase receipts
- Police report number for the loss
- report made to the insurer within their specified time limit.

I went back to Amazon and bought another for my little Canon M5
It ended up costing me an extra grand as they had a Canon 100-400mm MKII in their warehouse deals which currently have 20% discount on certain items. Couldn't resist.

Thought I was trying help by pointing to a "good deal" - but I can't help "people" who "succumb" to "temptation" (especially when that's "the opposition")
OTOH, some have got the bargain (not me, I don't need it) - even if it's for another past of the "opposition"

Serious question! It might appear to be a bargain considering its usual price, however, there are many other 64gb cards which are considerably less expensive.
In real life usage terms, are there any tangible/noticeable performance differences to justify the extra costs?

I have the 32Gb version of this in my K-3, and it simply means you can clear the buffer as fast as the camera will let you.
Changing the burst priority from focus to frame rate meant the camera will run at it's 8fps max speed. It's internal buffer is pretty big, but the camera locks up whilst the images are eventually written to the card, and that's where a fast card will help. All cards will be limited to the max speed of the camera to card bus anyway though, so there really is a ceiling to what the camera can benefit from.

On everything else, it makes little difference. Video isn't recorded with enough data fast enough to be an issue for the card.

Looks like the "latest" V3 version which seems to normally sell for £40+
