Luckely it's AVI so a lot of programs can handel that.

BTW Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 is running on my old AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ on socket 939. Good socket and I don't understand why they went so fast for the socket AM

AVI is only a container.
It depends on the codec used if a program can work with it.

Yep very well corrected, the codec is M-JPEG.
It seems that MPEG-2 codec can handell them as well don't know what audio is going to be.

AMD CPU's have supported SSE2 since the Athlon64 and SSE3 since mid way through the A64's run. Current Phenoms support SSE4

If you are using an AMD you might need Photoshop Elements V0.1

(Shamelessly blagged from another forum, but IMHO, excellent. My compliments to the creator.)

That's good to know. I bet Adobe were disappointed when all the AMD customers they thought they'd got rid of with v2 returned. Can't understand why these companies don't want customers. There was another piece of photo editing software that was the same "Don't Support AMD now go away" LightZone they publically dropped AMD with v3 it was supported in v2, but I suppose the newer processors with SSE2 allow the AMD Bad Boys to sneak back in, although if you search for AMD on LightZones site it says "nothing found" so they still don't really want you. It was only 2 years ago someone was complaining about not supporting AMD on here:

I completely agree Shim.

My current CPU is a Pentium Core2Duo (been eyeing up the Q6600 Go Stepping for quite a while now...but this photography bug has really curbed my enthusiasm for an upgrade). I had been an AMD man before; and I used to use Adobe Premiere Pro 1 and 2 with an Athlon 64 machine without a hitch so I think Mongoose is right.
