Very nice too - and the second one reminds me of why I stopped having to look in the mirror to shave and grew a beard.

Good spot!! It makes me wonder whether that sort of thing was one of the origins of the 'geen man' carvings that you see on old buildings.

Is there a resemblance between the face on your dog and the face on the tree?

If there is, not intended. Glad you like it.

A mate of mine had the same breed, she was called Melba. An absolute sweetie of a dog. Round at his one evening, he said to me, 'watch this.' Melba was sleeping quietly. He touched her, she woke up and he said, 'Melba, bad dog!' Harsh voice.

Initially she looked confused. And then started arguing with him. She became very shouty. Outrage. He continued the argument. He finished by apologising and saying, 'Melba, good dog,' soft voice. Cue wagging of tail, ears flat and cuddles. I still laugh at the memory. This reminded me of that so thank you for that. Lovely breed of dog. Oh, and great images, both of them.

Not fair confusing the poor dog with a tree image. No wonder it's looking at you questioningly. Fun aside, that's a great bit of observation spotting the tree likeness.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
