Funny how real life use doesn't mirror these findings. I use quite a few of the 'turkey' from 7DayShop and I have nothing but praise for them. I use them in torches, clocks, alarms, cameras and flashes and I certainly have no complaints about their capacity or life.

I've had several sets too, most have been excellent but one set seems to loose power excessively I think it may just be a single dodgy battery (I do remember my charger reporting one as faulty which then seemed OK after re-seating it)
Perhaps the reviewers had a similar temperamental battery...

For the price I'm convinced they're worth getting even with the occasional dodgy one (The set still works fine just runs down quicker etc)

I can also report very good performance from "good to go" in AA and AAA sizes; at least as good as my eneloops, stupid name for a battery.

Vapextechs don't seem to be used in photography much, but in another hobby of mine, flying radio controlled models, they are getting a very good reputation.

Not read the link but have nothing but high praise for Vapextech, both products and service - used their AA cells in RC radio gear since 2005 and their eneloop-style 'Instant' cells (2100mAh version) the last year or so. As an aside, their 7.4V LiPo packs are also as good as 'proper' branded stuff costing double.

Yes, I do have too many hobbies
