A Run Out on Brunhilde

Good weather yesterday so decided to have a run to Whitby for smoked Salmon from Fortunes Kippers.

Roads were dry enough so went on Brunhilde (my R80RT) who was thirty years old in April. Where did that time go? I remember the day I bought the bike.

Whitby was busy with lots of people about. A cold wind ensured most people were suitably dressed.

As usual, after buying the Salmon, I stopped in at the Whistlestop cafe for a late breakfast.

Two other motorcyclists arrived and parked either side of me. Another, modern BMW to the left and a Goldwing to the right. Both looking huge compared to Brunhilde.

After breakfast it was off to Goathland for a coffee at the Goathland Hotel.

Then on to Pickering and Helmsley via the moors.

A fair was set up in Helmsley town centre.

All in all a 116mile round trip. A cold day but not too bad behind the fairing, hence using the R80RT.

Best regards

One thing I can't fathom out is how your bike is so clean in all the shots.

And how he hasn't been pulled with only half a number plate!

A fairing is your best friend when it's nippy out
