A little help required

Good evening all,

I`m looking to buy a K1 ii.

I have the option of buying from various places at obviously various prices. The question I have is - Does the warranty for the K1 (or indeed Ricoh / Pentax) work as an international warranty or is it theatre or area dependent?
The write-ups I have seen would seem to indicate that it is "European", "North America", "Middle East", etc.

If I buy the camera (for example) in the USA or UAE, would the warranty be valid here in Europe (obviously not withstanding the BREXIT issues)

I would be more concerned about the hassle and time involved sending your camera from where you live to either the official Greek Pentax agent or the country in which you purchased it or back to Japan.

There is a reason I buy complicated electronic equipment from a retailer with a physical shop. If there is a problem I can return it to them and they will help me.

You live in a populous area of Greece, is there not a good Photo retailer that stocks Pentax nearby ?

I have three camera shops in Thessaloniki but only one sells Pentax - it shortens my options but I do take onboard your comments. I guess that although there are some price differences depending on locations, but maybe you are correct and I buy locally and avoid any hassle.
