How do you get the insects to stay still long enough ? (Genuine question )

Is the purple colouration on the jumping spider due to flash? The eye colour is beautiful.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

A lot of macro shooting is just down to patience really, you go through a lot of "subjects" before finding one that is willing to sit a while.

Think that may be my processing actually, it was a bit warm but maybe I took out too much of it.
