30 minutes with an Angel in the rain

I had to travel up to Newcastle on Thursday and managed to stop for 30 minutes at the Angel of the North. When I arrived it was raining and heavily overcast but I did manage to capture a few images. Because of the weather I was alone (sad I know) but it, once again, re-enforced by decision to buy Pentax

All images were taken with the K3 and 18-135 mostly in AV with various amount of compensation to try and get some detail in the sky. P&P in LR5 (which I know will not be to everyones taste).

As always C&C welcome:

Hard to get something different, with the Angel being photographed so regularly.

You've certainly achieved that with the second. And although the processing doesn't look entirely natural, I like it

Yes the second shot is the stand out image of the set.

I have yet to stop and photograph it.

Best regards
