I've been using the SMC Pentax-F 17-28mm fisheye zoom for a while now, and it's absolutely razor sharp on the K-1. Might have a more technical look at it in due course.

I notice there is a fisheye zoom on the lens roadmap, but I'm glad that I managed to find one of the F series ones, at £199 probably a lot less than a new one will cost, whenever it arrives. In terms of design it looks a little more like an FA zoom, so it must have been released at the end of the run of F series zooms.

I quite like the first - the strong symmetry with just enough little details to stop it being totally symmetrical.

But the second appeals to me more. Golden ratio/Fibonacci spiral? Plus cannons!

Er... WHY cannons?
SteveH!

Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

The second one works wonders for me. I've never shot such wide FOV's, I'm sure I'd be a bit overwhelmed at first.

That second one is wonderful! I might start looking at the Q fisheye lens

Cracking photographs John. Good to see a fisheye being used to such good effect.

Looks like the K-1 is breathing live into a lot of our old favourite lenses.
