Hi all,

Looking at the new 15mm f4 Limited Prime lens.

Does anyone own this little lens yet, and their thoughts on it?
Image quality, sharpness and CA.
Comparable to the 12-24???

Also, is it possible to screw in filters, both circular e.g. uv protector and also the adapter rings for using square filters e.g. cokin.

From viewing the pics, the retractable petal hood does not FULLY retract, meaning filters might not work? Being a wide angle I would think this would be important.

Very kind regards
Graham

Hi,

I have this little beauty. I cannot give you IQ info, as I do not do lens testing. IMO it's a waste of good time. The petal hood does not fully retract. I do not think it would have been possible to achieve. That means any filters have to fit inside it, having a diameter no larger than the front of the lens barrel.

I have never used UV or any other sort of 'protection' filter in 30 years, so it does not bother me.

cheers Steve.M.
