excuse my ignorance - what is TED ?
Thanks for the SS link - he's been one of my favourite photographers, well numebr 1 really, for quite some time and I was lucky enough to catch an exhibition of his work in Edinburgh some years ago - just stumbled on it by chance.
I'll defo watch that clip

Thanks for the SS link - he's been one of my favourite photographers, well numebr 1 really, for quite some time and I was lucky enough to catch an exhibition of his work in Edinburgh some years ago - just stumbled on it by chance.

TED's a sort of "Festival of Ideas", many of them academic/scientific/cultural... All of them in my experience pretty thoughtful... Speakers are given a platform and talk on their given subject for up to 18mins in front of a live audience... All the talks are videoed and made available online for free... The Salgado one is great... The calibre of speakers is generally pretty high (Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Ken Robinson etc) and range of subject areas pretty diverse...

Thanks for posting Patrick - some very interesting material, and as above the Salgado one is great. I also got distracted by several other talks on a variety of topics!
