I think whoever bought this (guessing it was in a buy it now) should be sending you a little drink by way of a thankyou.

Unfortunately I can't see that happening though.

The package arrived today

I paid £110 posted for the lot so not as cheap as listed, still a good price with the AF TC in there.

The TC itself has fungus on front and rear glass and I'll have to get that sorted, while the rest of the glass definitely does need a clean. I'll probably sell the rest of the kit for £20 posted.

This includes:

P30N
ME Super
Sun 300mm f/4.5
Auto Image 28mm f/2.8
Astron 28-70mm (looks like Sigma MF Zoom)
Sun Actinon 80-200mm f/4.5
Centon Flashgun
Miranda camera bag

There's a fungusy A 50/1.7 that I can try to get cleaned and sent over to you Gareth instead of a drink (alcohol forbidden!!)

Ah dang it! Is the fungus bad

I can find the bargains but I have no control over the condition

On the plus side, we've helped out another member with the sale of the bodies above

I've had a look at it and thankfully the fungus was on the outer coatings only. It cleaned off fairly easily with breath condensation and a clean cloth. Now I need to quarantine it for 14 days in case I'm coronavirus positive

Yep, cheers :L

Not tested it but it looks pretty clean apart from that minor glass issue. I'm surprised it was used on the P30 and ME since they're not AF bodies.

The A 1.7 should dismantle quite easily too if it only involves getting the glass out. For that matter, ditch the glass and use it as an extension tube with a working iris !
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I've got one of those, it's a deglassed F 35-80

Auto focusing adjustable extension tubes with aperture control, wow!

I've got one of those doing nothing. How did you get the glass out without damaging it?

Why destroy a perfectly good teleconvertor when you can simply obtain an extension tube set?

They're referring to the A 50/1.7 I believe, not the TC. I don't think the fungus would be too hard to shift on the A50 anyway, it's simple to take apart.

Right, cheers for that.
