Weekly #783 Signs of Autumn Competition

Competition Details
Closing Date: 11/09/2022
Judge: Perspicador

Are there nuts or fruit on the ground - are leaves on the turn? let's see where Autumn starts in the Northern hemisphere. if at all given the era of climate change that we are in. And it is ok to draw on your archives, so long as you are using Pentax or related equipment only. Time marches on but I do not want to force the pace of a long hot Summer.

The depleted larder of the spider and the finely hewn webs make this entry the Prize winner. Other participants will hear in due course.

First of all, Well Done to all Contestants! The Old Bathing Place is a strong contender with its capture of stark Autumnal beauty. this is the runner-up. Autumn leaves with its carpet of the fallen is seasonally the next most appropriate, so that completes the top three. I was a bit surprised not to see more entries. Even my little plot has a Cherry tree with dangling brown leaves. Gareth shows you need only go as far as the front door for a splendid Autumn Wreath. Fungi and fishy leaf decay completes my round-up of this week's entries. Thank you everyone.
