A couple of years ago I did a three month photography course at the local Tech. One of the lectures and assignments was "JUXTAPOSITION". We were taught to make a photo' with two "opposite"???? subjects. "Contrasting". The words used were. Like love and magnets. Opposites attract. That's what I was looking for this week.

(1) Perspicador. My tiny friend. Pleasant enough photo. The girl is a little out of focus and are they strikingly different.

(2) John Riley. The old and the new. Sorry John but there is no real contrast. Apart from the odd window frame and the brickwork looks a little cleaner.

(3) Tyronet2000. Water Tank. The two things in this photo fit well together and "contrast" For me maybe 1/2 a stop lighter would be good but that's just me.

(4) NigelK. Old Glass and Plastic Chairs. I like this one. The Old glass with the sun light "contrast" with the modern and different plastic chairs.

(5) Jofford. Use and Ornament. Although they are of the same material "steel" They are definitely "Contrasting" I like this a lot.

(6) wozfromcov. Who's Robin Who? Sorry but two birds and an out of focus bike do nothing for me.

(7) MHOL190246. Yacht and Ferry. Nice. And you've left room for them to sail into.

( retsoor. Not exactly best friends. Nice creatures shame about the pink/purple blob in the corner.

(9) simonmac. Wee Man. Although they are two people they do "contrast" This was well spotted. the perspective is good. Possibly a letterbox format would be better for me but still a good one.

(10) Noelcmn. The battle of life and death. Although they are all leaves the horrible manky rotton ones set off the bright new green growth a treat.

(11) Flan. The past is another country. They do things differently there. The two buildings are definitely different but I think the "contrast" would have been better in this instance in colour.

1st. Water Tank

2nd. Use and Ornament.

3rd The battle for life and death.

H.C's. to Old glass and plastic chairs
Wee Man.

Over to you Stan.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.
